Cassandra Jean Lorenzi, 38, a former dental office manager in Naples, Florida, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for embezzling approximately $220,000 over nearly two years from the practice where she worked. Lorenzi, of Fort Myers, had rejected a plea agreement that would have limited her sentence to one year in county jail — hoping instead to receive probation and keep her new job. That decision resulted in a substantially harsher outcome when the case went before the judge.
