Charlotte Webb of Montana receives 10 year prison sentence

A Montana judge has sent a very strong message that crime doesn't pay.

For embezzling from a local dentist, Hamilton MT's Charlotte Webb was convicted of three felony counts, each carrying ten years in prison.  Twenty years of her sentence were suspended; she will serve ten years in prison, without eligibility for parole.  Following her commitment at the Montana Women's Prison in Billings, MT, she has been ordered to pay restitution for the full amount stolen.  At $435/month, it will take her 27 years to repay.

Her family and attorney's pleas that she is a "changed woman" and a "contributing member of society" since her journey into sobriety and responsibility were not considered credible.

Prosperident's Senior Fraud Examiner Rose Clifford performed the work that led to this conviction.

The victim expressed appreciation to Rose and Prosperident as follows: "My sincere thanks to you and everyone at Prosperident for your contribution to the investigation and turning a situation that initially was daunting and impossible into one that resulted in an outcome that brought progress and closure for us all."
