Embezzlers Connie Ackerson and Alberta Paylor Target Tennessee Dental School in $130K Steal

A Shelby County, Tennessee grand jury indicted 68 individuals as part of an investigation into a scheme to embezzle approximately $130,000 from the University of Tennessee dental college. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents determined that three former employees diverted funds through fraudulent patient reimbursement checks between August 15, 2002 and November 3, 2003. Among those named in the investigation were Connie Ackerson and Alberta Paylor.
