Denise Marie Rossi, 45, a former office manager at the dental clinic of Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, was sentenced to one to three years in prison for embezzling more than $200,000 over a six-year period. Rossi was also ordered to pay $100,000 in restitution to the hospital. The fraud was initially uncovered through a tip from another employee, which prompted administrators to conduct a full-scale internal investigation before referring the matter to law enforcement.
