Diana Collins, 34, an employee at James Hull Associates dental practice in Newport, Wales, was convicted of stealing £9,757 from the practice between September 2006 and January 2007. The court noted that Collins had no realisable assets to satisfy a restitution order. Even relatively modest embezzlement amounts can cause disproportionate harm to smaller dental practices operating on thin margins.
