Emily Marie Forbes, 48, of California, was sentenced to five years and four months in state prison after pleading guilty to commercial burglary, false impersonation, and two counts of theft from an elderly person, in connection with a scheme in which she stole $72,000 from patients and staff at five California dental offices where she had worked.
Forbes was arrested on August 18 at Scripps Ranch Family Dentistry in San Diego. She pleaded guilty on September 1 in San Diego Superior Court. As part of the plea agreement, the prosecution recommended that she be permitted to serve her sentence through a drug offender rehabilitation program.
