Florida office manager charged with $24k theft.

Deanna Wigglesworth of West Palm Beach is facing multiple felony charges after a state investigation uncovered a scheme to defraud several insurance companies out of more than $24,000.

According to an affidavit from Detective Richard DeCosmis of the Department of Financial Services, Criminal Investigations Division, Deanna Wigglesworth is accused of manipulating dental records and filing false claims to obtain benefits from MetLife, Delta Dental, and Aetna Insurance.

Authorities allege that Wigglesworth knowingly deposited benefit checks totaling $24,723.43 into her TD Bank account without legitimate entitlement. Investigators say she fabricated treatment dates, altered patient records, and submitted claims for procedures that never happened.

Evidence was gathered from bank records, forensic reports, patient interviews, and a recorded statement from Wigglesworth herself. The affidavit also cites Dentrix Audit Trail logs showing how Wigglesworth allegedly backdated and deleted entries to conceal her actions.

Wigglesworth faces charges of theft, uttering a false instrument, scheming to defraud, and filing false insurance claims.
