Holly Ann Keate, 24, a former office manager for a dental practice in Roseville, California, was sentenced to one year in Placer County Jail for embezzling more than $47,000 from the practice’s business accounts. The case illustrates that even younger employees in positions of financial trust can cause significant harm when adequate oversight and controls are absent.
