Kendel Sonsalla, 38, and Robin Loewen, 46, both employees of Condon Dental in Liberty Lake, Washington, were charged in Spokane County Superior Court with two counts of filing false insurance claims and first-degree theft. Investigators alleged that between June 2010 and March 2014, Aflac paid Sonsalla $6,470 for 19 false claims and paid Loewen more than $10,800 for 32 claims filed under family members’ names. The investigation began after a tip from Loewen’s ex-husband.
