Mary Lou Rodriguez - From Embezzler to Master Hypnotist

Oregon's Mary Lou Rodriguez is a master hypnotist. She has an impressive website and a podcast. In a recent podcast episode, she proclaimed the lofty goal of helping one billion people through her powers of mind expansion.

Mary Lou Rodriguez's biography on her website states that she worked as an employee until 2018. What her website doesn't tell you is that this employment ended when she was caught stealing from the orthodontist she worked for. and that this resulted in her being convicted of embezzling in 2021.

Mary Lou Rodriguez's Criminal Record

A review of Oregon's court records shows that Mary Lou (who then was using her married name, Mary Lou Blount) was charged in December 2019, with three counts of Theft in the First Degree and one count of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree. The Aggravated Theft in the First Degree charge was dropped, and in July 2021 she was found guilty of the other three offenses. She was fined, sentenced to 36 months of probation, and ordered to repay $97,331.

We contacted the orthodontist involved, who confirmed that the court-ordered restitution payments were being made on schedule.
