Connecticut woman Pamela Sundura charged for steal of $8k from non-profit dental clinic

Pamela Sundura, 29, of Middletown, Connecticut, was charged with second-degree larceny after embezzling $8,646 from the Community Health Center, a non-profit organization providing medical and dental services primarily to low-income and elderly residents. Between November 2001 and January 2002, Sundura diverted $5,294 in checks and $3,352 in cash from the center's accounts.

The fraud was uncovered when the organization's chief financial officer identified missing funds and irregularities in deposit records. Investigators focused on Sundura because she was the employee responsible for the relevant transactions. She surrendered to police and was released on a non-surety bond.
