Paula M. Sullivan, 45, a former office manager at the downtown Chicago dental practice of Katz & Gershenzon Ltd., was sentenced to one year in federal prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud. Sullivan embezzled more than $800,000 from the practice over nearly seven years by forging hundreds of checks drawn on the firm's account.
Sullivan managed the practice located at 30 N. Michigan Avenue. Formerly a resident of Wilmette, Illinois, she had relocated to Whitewater, Wisconsin (WI), by the time of sentencing.
Embezzlement on this scale rarely develops overnight—it compounds year after year, undetected. Prosperident's forensic team can quantify the full damage and build the evidence needed for prosecution and recovery.
