Rhode Island's Christine Azulay indicted by grand jury

As a result of the work of Prosperident's Rose Clifford, Christine Azulay of Cumberland, Rhode Island, has been indicted by a Massachusetts (MA) grand jury for two felony counts of larceny and one felony count of credit card fraud for stealing from a Boston-area dental practice.  She will be arraigned in July 2025.

Prosperident CEO David Harris, who testified at the grand jury proceeding, said, "The evidence against Ms. Azulay is overwhelming.  She stole a considerable amount of money over a seven year period and used four distinct methodologies to steal.  I am pleased that the Grand Jury chose to indict Ms. Auzulay."

Ms. Azulay worked in this practice for over a decade and was fired in May 2024 as a result of Rose's findings. 

We note a civil court action filed in Rhode Island, also in May 2024, by an asset recovery company acting on behalf of a bank against Ms. Azulay, presumably to recover an unpaid debt.

Ms. Azulay is facing imprisonment of up to five years for each of the three counts if convicted.

A grand jury indictment does not signify guilt.  It merely affirms that there is sufficient evidence against an accused to warrant a trial.
