Sandra Brandes, 42, of Ottawa, Missouri (MO), was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison without parole by U.S. District Judge Greg Kays for a bank fraud scheme in which she embezzled approximately $77,000 from the dental office where she worked. As a condition of her plea agreement, Brandes was required to forfeit an airplane to the dentist she had defrauded. The case was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri.
