Stacey Sumner, 46, a dental office employee and daughter of the practice owner, was arrested after Polk County Sheriff's deputies alleged she forged hundreds of prescriptions using her father's prescription pad at Sonrise Dental Clinic on Bartow Road in Lakeland, Florida. According to investigators, Sumner forged prescriptions for controlled pain medications for both her own use and for patients. The investigation, which involved both the Polk County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Health, expanded to encompass the entire clinic.
