Lori L. Doughty, 39, of Olympia, Washington, pleaded guilty to embezzling approximately $1.9 million from Fisher Jones Family Dentistry — one of the largest documented dental embezzlement cases in Washington state history. Under a plea agreement, Thurston County prosecutors recommended a ten-year prison term for Doughty. Her husband, Michael Doughty, who pleaded guilty to money laundering charges in connection with the scheme, was recommended for a sentence of one year and five months.
