Summer Podcast Listening
Did you know that Prosperident has a podcast?
We make our webinar content available in audio format for those who like to listen on the way to work, sitting on their back deck or walking their dog.
We have episodes with great guests like Linda Miles, Dr. Roy Shelburne, and Dr. David Madow, as well as our own content about embezzlement.
You can find it on any of your favorite podcast places or on our website HERE.
Summer is a great time to learn!
Having trouble filling seats at your event?
Our presentations provide a welcome break from clinical topics. With catchy titles, case studies and lots of actionable teaching moments, we can make your audience feel like they are watching a TV crime drama. However, what we present is real life.

Financial Oversight Made Manageable
If a patient told you that they wanted to minimize their lifetime outlay for dental care, your advice would probably be to become good friends with their toothbrush and floss, and to visit you regularly for hygiene and exams. Why? Because in dentistry, prevention is far cheaper and less invasive than dealing with neglect.
The same principle applies to embezzlement. Learning how to oversee a practice financially is not taught in dental school or residency. We see many dentists using financial controls that they inherited from their predecessor that were probably formulated before practice management software existed that have not aged well. The way that money moves through a practice is vastly different than it was in 1985, and yet the financial controls in most practices have not adapted. It's like trying to run some modern piece of software on a Commodore 64.
Better systems can offer a much higher level of protection against embezzlement. And here is the good news - if properly set up, they can require less time than the maladapted financial controls used in most practices. Want to learn more? Click HERE to speak with us.
The View from the CEO's Chair
Last week was a great week at Prosperident.
Although our team is scattered across North America, we meet as a group every two years for a national get-together of the best forensic minds in dentistry. It's a great chance for us to build our investigative skills, look at current trends in embezzlement, and for our team to get to know people who they have only seen on a computer screen.
Our theme for this meeting was Top Guns, recognizing the preeminent position of this group as dentistry's premier crimefighters.
We were pleased to recognize the longevity and achievements of our group in awarding three awards for 10 years of service, four awards for five or more years, and five awards for embezzlers who have reached milestones for amounts of embezzlement they have uncovered.
Our meetings feature a mix of some of our own talented team showcasing their knowledge (Dr. Pat Little discussing what he had learned in a case where an associate dentist was stealing from the practice owner was a particular highlight this year) and some great external guest speakers. To see a video clip of the kind of stuff we talk about, click HERE.
If you think your practice needs a "Top Gun" to help protect you against embezzlement click HERE, and we will be happy to discuss how we can help.
