Summer Podcast Listening
Did you know that Prosperident has a podcast?
We make our webinar content available in audio format for those who like to listen on the way to work, sitting on their back deck or walking their dog.
You can find it on any of your favorite podcast places or on our website HERE.
Summer is a great time to learn!
Want to WOW your live audience?
Our presentations provide a welcome break from clinical topics. With catchy titles like "Healers vs Stealers," case studies, and lots of actionable teaching moments, we can make your audience feel like they are watching a TV crime drama. However, what we present is real life.

New Book on Embezzlement!
In 2019, our CEO published his first book on embezzlement in dental practices. Dental Embezzlement: The Art of Theft and the Science of Control quickly raised the bar for books on this topic.
He is about to do it again. David's new book, Healers vs. Stealers: How to Outsmart the Thief in Your Dental Practice, is due to be available in October 2023.
This new book, which is a team effort and includes ideas from many of Prosperident's senior investigators, provides much more depth in several areas, including a radically new framework for financial control of a practice.
If the suspense is killing you and you would like some summer reading, we are offering a free sneak peek at the first five chapters of the book. Click HERE to get your copy and to be notified when the book is published.
The View from the CEO's Chair
Those of you who read our newsletter regularly know that I volunteer in a search and rescue organization.
Over the past 20 years, the task of search and rescue has changed dramatically. With almost everyone carrying a cellphone with a GPS chip, there isn't much looking for lost hikers. We do rescue injured people who know exactly where they are and need extraction, and sometimes we go after despondent people who go into the woods with intent to harm themselves.
What has made us have our busiest 12 months ever, however, is climate-related events. I have written previously about a major hurricane last fall, and huge wildfires in June (where we had to evacuate 16,500 people in a single night.)
Two weeks ago, Mother Nature decided we needed another dose. This time it was rain. I live near the Atlantic Ocean, and we are used to heavy rain. However, this was something beyond imagination as it dumped almost ten inches of rain in 24 hours. This is our typical rainfall for three months. It caused massive flooding (see the pictures I took) and many roads and bridges to be washed out. Five people got swept away by flood waters.
The motto of Search and Rescue is "That others may live," and I spent three long days (one of which happened to be my birthday) looking for those missing souls, hoping beyond hope that we would find them alive. Sadly, they had all perished, but at least we brought closure to several families, who otherwise would wonder in perpetuity whether their loved one was somehow alive.
This work is challenging and can be physically demanding, but knowing the importance of what you do helps you push yourself onward.
If your practice needs a "search" for employee theft or your systems need a "rescue" to protect you from future embezzlement, I promise we will bring the same level of intensity to our work for you. Click HERE to speak with me about your practice.
Yours truly,

David Harris
