Arizona's Elizabeth Larijani charged with posing as a dental hygienist for years - used steal of identity to work in 10 practices

Elizabeth Larijani, from Arizona, is facing felony charges for allegedly lying about her credentials to illegally work as a dental hygienist at several California dental practices.

Elizabeth “Mina” Larijani, 50, allegedly worked and attempted to work at more than 10 dental offices in the South Bay area between 2015 and 2020, according to a May 17 news release from the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office.

Elizabeth Larijani stole identity of actual hygienist

Ms. Larijani allegedly misrepresented herself as a registered dental hygienist by using the stolen identity of an actual dental hygienist. When questioned about her credentials, she would allegedly move on to another dental office.

Elizabeth Larijani was arrested in Glendale, Ariz., where she was working as a dental hygienist, and extradited to San Jose for her arraignment May 13. She was held on $40,000 bail and released May 16. Her next court date is June 13.
