Webinar Dr. Roy Shelburne
We are SO excited to have Dr. Roy Shelburne as our guest presenter for our January 20 webinar.
Roy is a dentist who served 19 months in prison for healthcare fraud and racketeering. After his release, Roy has reinvented himself and now shares the lessons that he learned in the hardest way imaginable with the dental community. His story is captivating and his teaching beneficial to every practicing dentist.
The webinar takes place on January 20 starting at 8:00 pm Eastern time. Registration is free HERE.
We would like to thank Care Credit for its generous sponsorship of this event.

Own Your Stuff!
One consequence of the digitization of our world is that increasingly, ownership is viewed as belonging to the individual with login credentials for an account, as opposed to the business or entity that an account exists to serve.
As a case in point, we recently helped fire an embezzling office manager where a prickly issue emerged – the office was not using “domain” email addresses (e.g., suzy"at"friendlydental.com) but instead was using individual Gmail accounts like managerfriendlydental"at"gmail.com. The question raised by our dentist client was how she could gain control over the Gmail account being used by her office manager.
The View from the CEO's Chair
By the time you read this, it will be 2022. For most of us, 2021 presented some challenges. Personally, I found the regular emergence of new Covid variants, just when it felt like we were finally about to kick this thing to the curb, a bit disheartening.
I still remember how, when Covid first emerged in 2020, I thought it would disrupt our lives for six or eight weeks - how wrong I was.
For me, and probably most of you, 2022 offers the promise of a lot to look forward to. And first on my list is our webinar taking place on January 20 with special guest Dr. Roy Shelburne.
I met Roy about eight years ago, shortly after he was released from prison, and it has been inspirational to watch him rebuild his life and develop into one of the most respected voices in dentistry.
In my line of work, I see so many people for whom criminal behavior become a way of life, and Roy is a shining beacon of how someone can turn a major setback into both personal and public good.
I can't wait to have Roy join us in a couple of weeks. On that topic, the January 20 webinar may prove to be our most popular ever. As I write this, with almost a month before the event, we already have 950 registrations. Our previous webinar registration record was 1,428, which I am sure we will trample this time. If you haven't signed up yet, clicking on Roy's picture in the left column will take you to the registration page.
Most of you know this - in addition to the investigation work that we do, we also work proactively with practice owners to implement systems that lessen their vulnerability to being embezzled. If you would like to ring in the new year by improving your practice's systems, I'm happy to chat. Click HERE to set up a time for us to speak.
Here is to 2022, and I hope that it is a great year for all of us!
